I've decided that I will no longer have Facebook. I'm tired of the negativity on there, I'm tired of seeing bullying and I think I'm just tired of the site. So, with that being said, I'm going to take my turn at blogging to keep family/ friends updated on Matthias' growing, and just us in general. I'll try and update once a week, as I'm going to turn my focus inward my family and my health. I need and want to get healthier and look better for Matt. Plus, who wouldn't want to look good on their wedding day right?
Anyways, this is just the first post of many, and since it's been a year or so since I last posted, I figured, why not just start fresh kind of lol.
I'll be posting pictures periodically as well.

So, here's an update!
Holy smokes, its been 8 months since I last wrote here. I think I either totally forgot! A lot has happened in those last eight months, lets see what I can remember!
Anyways, my last post was about my due date. My son ended up arriving May 31st, 2011, 8 days late, and he was the most beautiful baby boy. His big blue eyes, and the dimples were amazing. One of the greatest experiences I have ever had.
Matthias Andrew John, was 9lbs 6oz and 22.5" long. A big boy indeed!
He is a very smart little boy and excelling like nothing I've seen! At 3.5 months, he was sitting by himself (once propped up), by 5.5 months he was army crawling and sitting up all on his own. By 6.5 months he was crawling!
His first holidays were wonderful. Christmas is my all time favourite time of year, and now, its a million times better!
Also at 6.5 months, we was pulling himself up. In the playpen, on the table, on the couch, and now, at 8 months he's a mover. not quite walking, but its going to be soon!
Last year, 6 weeks after I became a mother, I also became an aunt! My nephew was born July 16th! He's a charming little boy that's for sure!
Also, on our 3rd anniversary, Matt proposed to me! I couldn't have been happier! Now, no definite date has been set yet, but we're looking at July 2014. I hope we set something soon, weddings are so fun and ours will be one laid back BBQ! :-D
New Years Eve was really great. Matt's best friend and his fiance came over as well as his cousin, who is really awesome! Matthias had quite the night and managed to ring in 2012 with us. Not happily though!
So far, the year has been decent. January, we have just been bumming around, spending time with each other. Matt's birthday was on the 3rd, but we just celebrated here.
February and March are two months that are approaching quickly that I'm excited about! This month, after 4 years, our baby will officially be ours! Our car will be paid off! Huge relief, and that will clear up some money for me!
My mom's birthday is on the 20th, but we're going to celebrate it on the 18th. I'm very excited to see my sister/nephew and parents!
Then March rolls around. March 2nd, we're going to the doctor's for Matthias 9 month healthy baby check up, then we're going to boogie down to Toronto so I can buy Matt's belated birthday gift!
On the 25th, My sister and I are going to the movies and dinner for her birthday. Its 2 days early, but hey, we get to go out together sans babies. Its rare.
Also! I have started my journey to weight loss and being healthy! I'm very excited, wish me luck!
I shall go now, Matthias is starting to get whiney!
I'll try and update more often and include pictures. Until then, good night!

Due Date!
So, like the title says, its my due date....except for no signs of Matthias. Guaranteed, he won't be here for awhile...UGH! I just want him out...NOW!
Matt is pretty funny though, super excited..I love him so much for it. He's absolutely wonderful.
I can't wait to see Matt's face when Matthias finally arrives..

Saturday.
So, yesterday was my 23rd birthday. :-D
Didn't really do all that much, just kind of bummed around the apartment, and whatnot, waiting until 2:30pm so I could pick up Matt.
I was looking forward to dinner...homemade hamburgers. The most delicious burgers in the whole wide world! Doesn't help that I have the most outrageous craving for ground beef. THAT is probably the best food in the whole world because its so versatile, haha. So after dinner we just relaxed...Matt gave me such a beautiful card, I did tear up a little bit. He's absolutely wonderful and I am so blessed to have him in my life. I love him dearly. He also picked me up 'Water for Elephants', the book. I've been looking to read it since I heard about the movie. I can't wait to get it started. :-D
Anyways, there is 16 days left until my due date. I AM FREAKING OUT! I've always been around kids/babies, but this is way too new. He's OUR son! I'm so excited to meet him and see who he looks like more..(I hope Matt!) I'm just scared of the birth process. Its probably my biggest fear. That, and healing afterward, but nonetheless, millions of women give birth and are fine...and to end, I'm just looking forward to making Matt a dad...He is going to be an amazing father. :-D

AHHHH!!
First off, biggest pet peeve is when the smoke alarm goes off when I'm home a lone in the shower...our poor dog absolutely hates that sound and starts to whine. Poor thing. The stupid detector is placed right outside the bathroom, so it goes off randomly, but its the first time its gone off on me! I'm only 5'4 and have a super hard time trying to make it turn off...
Anyways though! I have 3 more nights left of work. I'm extremely excited, however at the same time, I know that in a couple more weeks...(25 days!) our little guy is going to be here. I'm not only excited, but so nervous at the same time. I'm nervous about whats going to happen during the labour/birth part and just how crazy our life is going to be after he's here..So much stuff that needs to be done, and things that need to be bought...ah well, it will come in time. I know that Matt is going to stand by me and support me and that's really all I can ask for...
I can't wait...BUT first things first! My 23rd birthday is coming up a week Friday, and I have NO IDEA what I want to do.. :-D
